You light a candle to relax – but many candles are made from paraffin, a by-product of oil refining, and scented with synthetic fragrance. Ours are handmade from rapeseed wax grown in Europe and scented with natural scents. Gingerbread is warm and spicy, with cinnamon and black pepper.

Where it all started
Mulieres started with our own family. Our children's skin was so sensitive that we learned to read every label, and we wanted everything at home to be as natural as possible – including the air we breathe on a cosy evening.

Why rapeseed wax?
Rapeseed is grown in Europe. It's renewable, GM-free and biodegradable, and it burns cleanly. That's why we chose it instead of paraffin.
Made by hand in Tallinn
Every candle is poured by hand in our own factory in Tallinn, Estonia, into a simple glass jar. Small batches, real people, and the same care we put into everything we make.

The first time you light it, let it burn until the whole surface has melted. Trim the wick before each use.
Yes. Rapeseed wax is plant-based – no beeswax or other animal ingredients.
Yes. When the candle has burned down, remove the remaining wax and wash the jar. It's perfect for herbs, pens or small things around the house.
